Periodontist Dr. Ken Ross graduated from The Rutgers Preparatory School (Somerset, NJ) in 1983 after six years of attending St. Andrews School in Boca Raton, FL. His undergraduate studies were completed at Wake Forest University in 1987 (Winston-Salem, NC). Dr. Ross' dental Degree was earned at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1993. His three-year surgical residency in periodontics and implant surgery was completed at The Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. It was at Boston University that Dr. Ross also spent a full year to complete a Masters in Science in Oral Biology. The Thesis for this Master's study was focused on the salivary pellicle. Since that time, Dr. Ross has spoken at the University of Pennsylvania on severe forms of periodontal disease. He has published articles in professional journals both here in America, as well as internationally. These articles have focused on regenerative procedures and innovative techniques.
Dr. Ross is an active member of many local, national, and international dental societies including the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration. He served on the Broward County Executive community (2001-2003) and belongs to the Florida Dental Association, the South Palm Beach County Dental Association, and the Broward County Dental Association. He is the founder of the Ross Institute for Dental Education (RIDE) to help further dental education in our area. Previously Dr. Ross was the cofounder of the Experdent South Florida Study Club.
Dr. Ross travels around the country keeping up with the latest techniques in periodontology and implant dentistry. He is involved in lecturing locally to dentists and hygienists (South Palm Beach County Dental Association, Broward County Hygiene Association, etc.) in an effort to educate the dental community. Staff continuing education is essential and our staff is constantly meeting with other offices and amongst ourselves to keep up with the latest technologies.
Dr. Ross' wife Evelyn has earned her Masters degree in Nutrition and is a certified diabetes educator who often consults with our patients to help in their overall health. Their young son Tyler, was born in 1999. Katie was welcomed into the family in 2002. They enjoy church activities, sports, and local community events in their spare time.
